How to Become a Continuing Education Provider
To become a Continuing Education Provider (CEP), you must first register through the Continuing Education Portal to allow you to log on to the Connect CEP dashboard. From your dashboard you will be able to submit a Provider Application, along with the application fee of $500. Following approval of the Provider Application, you will be able to begin submitting CE courses for approval. Approved courses can then be offered to licensees to be used to meet their CE requirements for license renewal.
The content of continuing education courses must be relevant to the practice of acupuncture and be related to clinical matters, the provision of patient care, or practice management. Courses must include a method by which course participants can evaluate whether the course met its stated objectives, the adequacy of the instructor's knowledge of the course subject, the utilization of appropriate teaching methods, and the applicability or usefulness of the course information.
An approved Provider may offer live courses as in person or live webinars or distant education/home study courses. The cost for course approval is $10 per continuing education hour.
Once a course is approved, that course may be taught for one calendar year from the first date of instruction, wherever and whenever the Provider chooses.
